July Tzedakah Box: New Israel Fund
This month our Tzedakah Box proceeds will support New Israel Fund (NIF), helping Israel live up to its founders’ vision of a society that ensures complete equality to all its inhabitants. NIF's aim is to advance liberal democracy, including freedom of speech and minority rights, and to fight the inequality, injustice, and extremism that diminish Israel.
In these times of conflict, the New Israel Fund is focusing on supporting initiatives that promote Jewish-Arab partnership, addressing urgent needs, and safeguarding human rights and democratic values. They are providing emergency funding, including grants for grassroots initiatives, rapid response efforts, and organizations working to reduce tension and violence. The New Israel Fund is not just supporting this work — they’re helping coordinate it. NIF and their grantees are working in tight partnership, across towns and sectors. Their network has held fast under immense pressure. This is what it means to stand for democracy, dignity, and shared humanity — even in wartime.
Your generous donations will help NIF continue to serve as a leading advocate for democratic values, building the coalitions and empowering the activists that can drive meaningful social change in Israel. For more information, visit www.nif.org.
