
Reproductive Justice Event: Post-Abortion Care Package Assembly

2:00 PM - 4:00 PMSocial HallBeth Am Post-Abortion Kit Coordinator Sara Guido, in partnership with National Council of Jewish Women-San Francisco (NCJW-SF), is organizing a mitzvah opportunity for assembling post-abortion care kits for Bay Area residents receiving abortion care. We will be joined by Beth Am's Rabbi Shoshana Nambi as well as Antonia Lavine- Executive, Director at NCJW -SF, in assembling gift bags with supplies that have been collected by Beth Am and area synagogues. Families are welcome!
- Donate Supplies: Help us collect items to go into the care packages, which include pads, heat packs (see an example), tea, hand sanitizer, wrapped hard candy and maxi pads. Bins will be placed in Beth Am Sanctuary lobby, and a few other locations around campus.
- Make Care Packages: Join us as we make care packages for patients and providers. Register below to participate!
- Write Cards: In addition to making care packages, write notes of support for patients and providers, which will go into the care packages.
Please register to volunteer using the form below. (Registration for this event is limited to 40 volunteers.) If you cannot attend but would like to donate supplies, you are welcome to drop them off in collection bins located around the Beth Am campus including the Sanctuary Foyer.
NCJW-SF also accepts monetary donations. You are also welcome to send a check to the NCJW-SF office. We request that you specify in the donor message that you are donating specifically to support reproductive rights through the post-abortion care kit making campaign.
